The Full List of WWE Wrestlers Released
After WrestleMania each year, the WWE's roster undergoes significant upheaval. In many cases, that is a great thing for the performers as NXT stars who get called up to Raw or SmackDown. There have also been years when several wrestlers have been released from their contracts, meaning they will no longer work for the WWE. Sadly, 2026 has continued that trend, as it has been reported that at least 23 wrestlers have been released, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com.
Here is the full reported list of WWE's April 2026 releases:
Aleister Black
Zelina Vega
Kairi Sane
Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas
Nikki Cross
Santos Escobar
Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)
Dexter Lumis
Apollo Crews
Erick Rowan
Joe Gacy
Andre Chase
Zoey Stark
Alba Fyre
Tyra Mae Steele
Sirena Linton
Tyson
Tyriek
Chris Island
Malik Blade
Trill London
Luca Crusifino
In addition to Sapp reporting the news, there has been confirmation that many names on that list were released from their WWE contracts. In some cases, the wrestlers have reacted to their releases on social media or their co-workers have expressed sadness over their exits. Additionally, every name on that list from the main roster, along with Andre Chase, have all been moved to the WWE Alumni page on WWE.com.
Some of the names included on the list are shocking, including Aleister Black and Zelina Vega, who have long been favorites of many fans. Additionally, all five members of The Wyatt Sicks faction have been released, including Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis. It is also noteworthy that many names on the list are talents who've won major WWE championships in the past, some very recently.
